Camping the right way from May 2009
This is near Strawberry Reservior in Heber, Utah. A beaufitul place and perfect site for tarp cover construction and tent placement.
We were here two years ago and started to make a cabin. Here are the remnants. This was built by effort, creativity, blood, sweat, and two very dull hatchets!
Mmmmm, camping bacon . . .
. . . Copper wanna Bacon!
Ammon the chef says no. A great cook for humans is he.
The three Parker Brothers reunited at last! What better place to be than in nature with family, food, animals, and weapons?
Anything is better roasted. Yep, that’s a twinkie.
The mighty annual caber toss event. This is Ammon heaving the large log as far as possible.
Eric fears not the caber.
Ethan and his caber heave.
Ammon hiking up the glacier that is our snow fun. It’s cool because there’s only snow where you want it to be – away from the campsite but close enough to go slide on!
Sure is beautiful out there.
Eric le Lumberjack ho!
Gotta go to sleep! It’s 2:43 am as I write this. I hope you enjoyed this tour of the annual Father-Son campout 2009.
