Cruisetime, booya.
Hey hey! Here’s some cruise fun:
There’s the boat. Cool, huh?
There’s Eric and I on the way down. We got to drive my dad’s BMW, sweet ride though very high maintenance.
This is probably the best part of a cruise, unlimited super good food! Wow! You wouldn’t believe it. In attendance: Chelsea+Josh, Eric, Jared, and Me.
We spent a lot of time in bathrobes, this makes for easy hot-tubbing.
We rode quads on the beach in Ensanada Mexico. It was stinkin’ awesome. You had to drive on the steet in traffic for like 15 min just to get to the beach which was scary, but man the beach was worth it!
Here’s a little of our 4-wheeler excursion. This is Eric and I showing our intergalactic connection in being able to do donuts on quads right next to one another while not crashing into one another. I, however, exited the intergalactic circle and suffered the consequences. Viva 4-wheelers on the beach!
Will you go?
I don’t think I’ve shared many things about my church on this blog. This morning I would like to mention a verse from one of my favorite books according to my facebook profile.
It’s about a great man who was responsible for helping many people find God and be happy. Once he was talking to the king of a people that were converted. They were going to be attacked by an opposing group of people and they wanted to escape, but they were worried about leaving and joining with another people that they had previously committed many crimes against from before they were converted.
This great man’s name was Ammon. So Ammon said to the king: “I will go and inquire of the Lord, and if he say unto us, go down unto our brethren, will ye go?”
Not all of us believe there is a god and not all of us believe that if there is a god, he is able to communicate with us. If you believe both of those, though, then this verse has a great meaning. It asks us if we receive instruction, will we follow it? If we know something is right will we do it? Love it.
So to finish the story Ammon asks if they should go, the Lord says yes, and they join the people whom they previously wronged. They were very happily received! The opposing group mentioned did attack anyway, but were beaten because these other two groups of people joined forces.
This is from the Book of Mormon (it’s like the Bible). The book within the book is called Alma, chapter 27.
La Vida
Hola amigos. La vida ha sido loco pero rocking bueno. That’s Spanish for: Life has been crazy, but rocking bueno! I just got back from a crazy 2 weeks. Trip to AZ, cruise to Mexico. Oh yeah. It’s like 2am and my dear Christina just got back from Aruba so we had a little chat on the phone. I’ll be posting pics and video fun from the cruise.
Cruises are crazy, you ever been on one? It’s like a floating city, man. There is non-stop food and people doing smiley happy-dances the whole time. Pretty cool stuff. Also cool is going to sleep in a surprisingly big bed and room for a ship and waking up on the coast of a new country! Yes! Booya for sleeping and waking up in new sunny places with cheap crud-ola you can buy. Street tacos for $1.10. Mmmmhmmmm. I didn’t even get sick! (that I am aware of) and I don’t even think I have any parasites! (that I can see).
Viva cruise to Ensanada!

Good One
This is a quote I ran across today:
“If you want to achieve greatness,
stop asking for permission.”
Trip to P-H-X
Oh yeah. It’s spelled “Phoenix”- it’s common for non-Phoenicians to frequently ask how to spell the name of the city; especially when texting it to a friend.
Last weekend was super sweet. The trip was mostly family and partly business. Christina, Eric, and I all headed down in my dad’s new 2006 BMW 325i. It’s a super smooth car but not a perfect one as you’ll see below. We also met with the bookstore supplies buyer at ASU. Fun. Buy planners, ASU! They rock!
Here are some pics!

Wes stopped at my grandma’s house on the way down so the trip to Phoenix wouldn’t be so long. Good to see her!
Cooper Blog Town
This post is for one person and one person only. My brother-in-law Cooper. He reads religiously and just let me know just how vital a role I play in his daily routine. Cooper, you are also a pivital part in my day. If that random vacant mansion in Phoenix didn’t have 4 security cameras constantly watching it at all times, I don’t know what I’d do! Thank you guard dogs, thank you moat, thank you, Secure Source

Today I contacted a business broker to get an idea of how easy it would be to sell Parker Planners if I so desired. I was a little surprised. I’m not selling for sure this summer but it would be interesting to see what someone would pay for a promising business with a growing future. At the very least it would give more credibility to our asking an angel investor for money based upon our valuation numbers.
I’ve been working on Parker Planners for the past three years and I guess I’ve forgotten that I’ve been building an asset this whole time. Turns out the asset could be worth something. It’s nice to know that at the end of the day a lot of hard work and thoughtful time put into something really pays off. I’m excited to see where this company goes and where life takes me.
Tomorrow morning it’s off to visit with a programmer about mobile apps. What an amazing industry- smart phones. Just watch this thing explode. Co-founder of Omniture, Josh James told us as a group of BYU students that the current smart phone and mobile app situation is like the internet was in 1995. Ha ha. Yup. Right now is one of those times you will think back to and say “darn, wish I would have thought of something like Yahoo or AOL”. Think of it and give it a go! Why not? Or at least find some kids who are working on the thing and buy a piece of what they’re doing. That’s just how I roll, though. Just trying to prevent future complaining.
